Can anyone recommend a good Zombie ball? I just purchased a Morrisey Zombie, and while it seems adequate, I am looking for one that is either seamless or at least has a seam (where two halves meet) that is nearly invisible. I am planning on doing a "naked zombie" routine without a cloth or gimmick. Some of the moves would be better with a seamless ball. I don't mind paying a fair price for quality.
Raymond Crowe does an excellent routine like this, using some mime techniques.

Here is one:
http://www.murphysmagic.com/Product.aspx?id=47777 I know NOTHING about this, except for the description (and that they don't know how to spell "seam"). Even the better Zombies, like the original Rings & Things, have seams. Keep us posted on your search...

Thanks everyone. I have enough info now to do some research before I buy. I'm not real impressed with the Morrissey ball, but I can practice with it.

Has anyone used the Fab Magic Zombie ball? It's mentioned in several threads, but I can't seem to find an actual user/review. It looks great on paper, and I really like the idea of going with plastic for all the obvious reasons. Anyone?

I used a "miracle ball" gimmick (coat hangar sized wire with a rubber backstop). The only peril of the plastic ball is if it is dropped, it will either bounce or split exactly in half at its molded seam.

The best Zombie Ball I had was made by Mephisto Huis in Belgium. It was a bit bigger than the standard size, chrome hard plastic and had a magnet at the tip of the gimmick wire. It was also fashioned in a way that the thumb was inserted into it. It was much easier to use than inserting it in your middle finger. Also easier to insert the gimmick into the ball. I don't think this is available nowadays.
Another good one I had was the Tommy Wonder version but it was limited to a few moves.

Abbott's e-mail just came out with a seamless Zombie - No idea if it is any good.

Magic_engineer,
It looks like the same one I linked to on Murphy's. If someone has this, I'd love to hear a review...it looks intriguing.

The New Generation is also plastic, and for the price and what it is, I personally feel a woeful product.
The best I can find now made is still the Viking, or if you want to invest the bucks, Owen Magic Supreme. Magically, Walt |

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I have some ideas now that may lead to a different approach to the floating ball. By combining aspects of the traditional zombie with some other levitation methods, I believe I can develop an entertaining routine. If my ideas work out, I'll put a video online to demonstrate. I am slow, though.
