Hopefully someone can answer this question.
I know I need a state resale license in my state, but do I need a license from another state if I go and pitch an event there? Thanks! LeoH |

Depends on the state. Usally the promoter will let you know.

Theoretically, you need a State Tax License for every State in which you work. If you DON'T have one and the tax guys come around, they will either make you pack up and go OR they will give you the papers necessary to send them the tax after the show. Many promotoers never ask about tax info. Leave it up to the dealer or vendor.
As Will says, each State is different. Usually, if you ask the promoter, they know the rules. Jon |

Here is a good rule of thumb. The bigger (and longer) the show / fair, usally the more rules and regulations they want you to follow.
