Now THAT sounds promising! I'll pick up one of those Gelly Roll pens today.
Do you 'erase' it with a normal pencil eraser? Spike |

I just moisten my finger a tiny bit and rub.
Mind you, the tiny bumps on the cards make writing on them a bit more problematic than you might think, and the finish causes you to need to prime the pen often.

I used a Pentel Sunburst Gel pen with a medium width line and white ink. And I can see the marks easily without glasses. I put the marks on either side of one of the 2 angels, using 2-digit stack numbers to identify the cards. I don't know yet whether I'll get busted for these monstrous marks, but I try to structure my effects so as not to raise any suspicion that I'm using marked cards. Thanks for all the great suggestions! Spike |

These are the marked Phoenix Decks, the regular decks "only" have the highly visual oneway marking on the backs and faces. The designing process of the Phoenix Deck was different to the ones that you mentioned so far: the Marked Phoenix back came first, so starting from scratch allowed me to place and hide the marking while it is at least twice as big as all others (Boris Wild, Ultimate etc.). All Phoenix Parlour Decks as well as all Phoenix Double Deckers are marked also, always!! The regular Phoenix are the Marked Decks wher I have REMOVED the marking.

A decent pre-marked Juice deck will set you back $60-100. So, I suggest that you try and buy a good Juice Solution or Juice Dust and mark your own.
That will reduce your cost to about $3 per deck or less. Be careful with companies who seee old Juice solutions/formulas. The old fomulas tend to perminantly damage the finish on many cards.

Thanks a lot for the advice
oh and is this website http://www.markedcards.org/classic-bee-juice-deck-red.html still good? because in the last post regarding juiced decks (2004) ppl had recommended this site. obviously a lot has changed, so can I still buy it from here or somewhere else? |

I have "old eyes" also and just marked a red back memory deck the old-fasioned way (Sharpie style) in Binary. Followed Dennis Loomis' lead. The deck is amazingly subtle and the marks "stick out like a sore thumb" TO ME---like all marked decks tend to do. I can discern them from quite a distance, better than I thought, because of their SIMPLICITY.
VERY inexpensive to try / experiment with. AND you get to learn Binary, if you don't already know it!

Marking up my own decks using McCabe's system. I'm looking for opinions of users reguarding the practical advantaged/disadvantages on the location of the marks, namely the standard vs "speedreader" locations??

Try the GT Speedreader, which IMHO, is an upgrade to the UMD...

Beginenrs tend to like the Juice Stronger on the cards...BUt, professionals tend to prefer light and subtle marks. I suggest buying the Juice chemicals directly and marking your own Juice cards. You will not only be able to customize your marks, but, you can control the intensity and size of the marks. In addition, marking your own is a lot cheaper have fun and practice !

Either get (or make your own) if you are familiar with the Ted Lesley or Boris Wild marked decks. I have made both of them MANY times and you can make the markings as large as you want.. I have never been caught with either
