Hey guys,
I am aware that this isn't the proper place for this, but I posted this question down in Loops, Reels, and anchors a few days ago and have gotten no feedback. I am relatively new to IT, and am trying to find out the which brands are most recommended. mostly for close up work, average lighting. I am trying to find the best balance between invisibility and strength. thanks in advance for any help

I will 1st say that the reason you have not gotten any feedback on this question, is because it has been asked and answered hundreds of time. There is a search engine on the Café or you can use Google to search for your answer.
Kevlar is the current thread most members say they are using. Again do a search and you will find the popular brands. You are actually asking the wrong question in the manipulation section of the Café. Manipulators do not use IT for manipulating balls, coins, cards, Cd's, etc. The correct question to ask is how and when do I perform with IT. Once you learn the theory of IT, you will know when to present IT magic. There are several very good DVDs on the use of IT and how to camouflage it in certain venues. There is no such thing as Invisible Thread, all thread can be seen, it is not the thread but the lighting of the venue. If you can see a spider web, which is the thinnest and strongest fiber relatively speaking, why on earth would you think a man made product could accomplish what mother nature cannot. If you don't want to experiment and study this area of magic, then forget about using it at all. It will take months of learning and handling to achieve success. Are you willing to put forth the effort and expense? Only you can answer that question, at just how disciplined you are. If you are willing to do the work, here is a good search engine to start your search: http://www.searchthemagiccafe.com/ This will search all topics, except the secret section of the Café. Good Luck! |
