Hmm, didn't see this thread till just now. As a matter of fact, I just had jury duty today. "Turn your cell phones off. If you're called for a case, it will stay off. No Facebooking or twittering in the courtroom. You can text during breaks, and turn your cell phone on during breaks."
Anyway, they blew through all the cases and released everyone in the jury pool by 11:00. So I still had to work today. At least I could work from home.

My old lady had jury duty for a whole week once, but she's salaried and the court house is closer than her work so she actually made a few bucks.
