I do a routine where I bring eight selected cards to the top and reveal them one by one, but I only have one of them signed.

One pass, 7 bluff passes - blunt and quick
Will also keep them in order if you take the first one first then the rest in reverse order. |

It came from my brain just before I wrote that post.

I would do two standard controls then 4 cards with Cardini shift then swing cut the top of the deck to have last two replace. Now do a double cut or a pass to bring the whole thing to the top.

Firstly, it has to be 8 cards as most tables I work seat 8 people and in order to keep everyone involved and feel like a participant with the trick, they each must choose a card. Also, eight seems to be the magic number that impresses magicians. In performance, I have found that 4 cards is expected, 8 cards gets a standing ovation. the spectators just find that eight cards is more impressive for some reason, even though it's pretty much the same moves as your doing with four.
Secondly, they must be signed for all the reasons already stated. Many so they know it's there card and not a dupe. On many occasions they forget their card and having it signed puts them at ease as they no-longer need to remember it, and can relax and enjoy the trick. I'm all for making my spectators comfortable. The problem is dead time at this point, so I'm think eight pens to get through it faster, or start shuffling the cards in one by one as each card is signed. Cheers for all your suggestions thus far. I'm going to look into them. |

Several people have PM'd me asking to see a video of my solution.
Here is my solution: 8 signed cards placed in the deck. One Shuffle and all 8 are on top in the order they were selected. Selection procedure designed to minimize time required. I'm not sure if having the signed cards is necessary, but that's really the decision of the operator. Here it is. I cannot guarantee how long the link will be active. SEY |

I think Mr. Youell's solution nailed it. Very clear to the audiance that the cards are all in different places in the deck. Perfect.
Pick a card, any card at all. Just don't pick a RED spade.

Agreed. Cardini multiple shift wins...

Steven, that's a fantastic video. Not just for the OP's benifit, but for everybody elses too. Nice to see the move done well. It's very generous of you to take the time to shoot this for us.
Cheers! Zac

Thank you for sharing the video. It was great and really interesting.
For info: It made me think of the multiple shift from Vallarino that also could help ku7uk3. Unfortunately I don t know a video in English with that move. Alex |

Thanks to all for the kind words-- there's one more detail.
The Overhand Shuffle associated with this move can be done very neatly; very sloppy or somewhere in between, so it'll probably fit almost any style. SEY |
