I recly got the very best of jay sankey tapes and this is one of my absulute favorites on the tapes. does anybody use this in the routines. I will add it in as soon as I get really comfortable with the actions. I am concerneced that by slidding the rings down the side of the spoon it might scratch the ring.

I use it--it's a great effect. However, I don't do the part where you pull it off by scraping it against the spoon, as you are right--it can and will damage many rings. I tried it out on several of my own--two got damaged, two didn't. That's not a good enough ratio for me to do it with a borrowed ring.
Instead, I follow it with the strike vanish and then do a strike again, causing the ring to reappear on the spoon. This owrks very effectively for me.
