I love plugging our own free web site: http://www.ChristianMagician.org We just finished putting on DVD the new one hour special "Conjuring and Chalk". But when I sent it to MagicBob to post it- he told me the sound turned out terrible! So that is not good, we may end up reshooting the entire program some day. MagicBob may decide to put snippets of it on the web site, but something got messed up in the editing process and the sound volume goes from very low to blasting ones ears out, and all on the same DVD in the same program. Smile We have no idea why, the volume slider controls were never changed when we were filming. Sorry folks, alotta time down the drain on that latest project although MagicBob told me Saturday at Michigan Magic Day he still considered it all "good practice." Anyway, still a bunch of older shows and routines posted for any one to watch at http://www.ChristianMagician.org

I'm new to this forum, and new to the idea of Gospel magic. Maybe I should rephrase that...I've heard of and seen a couple of Christian illusionists, but recently I've decided to try to join the ranks. I'll probably never do it for a living - but I certainly want to be an amateur not a hack. I have a couple of friends that have been very encouraging, one local and one way over in Ohio.

As I've been flirting with magic and Gospel applications I've done a couple of searches and have visited this forum to read opinions and comments - but now I am a member and excited to see what all it has to offer.

Here is a question for your consideration: Knowing that I will probably never make alivng doing this, what organization(s) (i.e. IBM, FCM, etc...) do you recommend joining and why?

I have been a member of IBM off and on since the mid - 70's.
A couple of years ago, I joined the FCM and started to go to local meetings. The magazine and library on line is a great asset and blessing.

These last 2 years I have gotten to know a lot of entertainers on a whole different level than I knew them through the I.B.M.

We have a regional conference coming up in August in Shawnee, Kansas. No fee, but we do ask for a love offering. More info to follow. I suggest getting mentors from both groups. They might actually be the same.

That's been my experience.
