Hello,
I am searching a different way of forcing a tarot card : I usualy use a equivoque, or cut deeper force (christ force). I would like to find something else :without touching the card - no classic force - and no verbal control too. Shell I have too find a automatic force that fits with tarot card or somewhere else? Do you have any idea? (sorry for bad english ) |

You could use a numerical force as Numerology and Tarot are frequently in the same circles
the 10/20 force could work (put the force card at the 11th position, have them select a number Between 10 and 20 count those cards onto the table on top of each other, remind them that in numerology you seek to have a single digit, so add the previous numbers (if they chose 12 1+2=3) count those down onto the table and you will have the force card

How about using a card box? If you aren't sure what I'm talking about, PM. Since this is a public area, I can't post methods.

Sorry about that, I thought they all had to sign in to access the Café in general (otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned the above)

Get karnival of magick, here is a routine in there that forces a tarot where you never touch the cards and the spec actually chooses the card freely <in his mind>

To Actorscotty,
I suppose you mean "Double-Backed Card". Since I use a very old tarot, gaffed card is not possible. To Michael_MacDonald, I'll have a look at "karnival of magick". Thanks |

A gaffes card is possible if you have a scanner and card stock.

I would use a card box as mentioned above, or if you need to force them several timee, you could try a palm and a ditch.
Can I just ask a question, why don't you want to use classic force or riffle? Remember, in the eyes of the spectator, any of those will seem like a fair choice |

To Paul Prater
My cards are very old, yellow, and used. I could try but I think it will not be deceptive. To Hugh Entwistle I don't want to use riffle because I do it with card and I don't want any assimilation with this. I already use a classic force with postal card in a previous routine. I should look to a card box. Thanks |

I like Gothics idea of using the 10-20. It ties in Numerology which is often associated with Tarot. It would allow you to talk a bit about the connections between Tarot and Numerology.
Anyway thanks to gothicmagic for planting that seed in my mind, I am going to work with that a bit. -Max |

Pit Hartling had a brilliant one in his act 'Heinz', though I don't know if he has released it.

"What's your drug?" she asked. "Hope" he said, "The most addicting one of all."

Hello,
Thanks for all the advise. Do you have an idea where I can find a nice wooden card box That fits with 22 tarot cards (not too big)? (I can only find plastic card box / or bicycle format). Thanks, |

I also suggest Smoke and Mirrors. They are making me a nice aged and faded black one. Recently their email server has been down so you know.
