Maybe someday the scientists will out-think me on this point, and I'll give in and say, "congratulations!" What we (me and the scientists) have in common is a sort of religious belief in rationality over superstition and orthodoxy. In the galactic chess match between scientists and philosophers, I think both would concede a checkmate, should one occur. But we're not there yet. |

I'm not so sure that if Plato were able to briefly visit our time that he would feel that we were better off. I kind of imagine him asking to be sent back immediately.

Despite all of our medicinal advances, I can imagine Plato succumbing to "Bieber Fever."

It gave us the Internet, so some people could come together and condemn scientific thinking! It gave us better medicinal approaches, so that we could enjoy this life a bit longer. I say, Science should try to explain EVERYTHING! Whether it will or not, I dunno but it should try for sure... Certainly better than delusional bearded men crying out to the world after being in caves a bit too long.

Plato would be Brzezinski. The most influential political scientist of our time.

Plato would be amazed just looking and hearing Stephen Hawkings.

From the little I know of Plato, I don't think big-breasted MILFs would be his thing. Bieber. Fever.

Go science! "There is no shame what-so-ever in stumbling when you are blind, or failing to properly construct a puzzle in the dark. But we no longer live in the dark. Science is ablaze in our world. It illuminates our way, dissipating shadows and exposing even the deepest of crevices." Fibbs1701 |

The only thing that is going to illuminate this lots way is the illuminati as they are only able to say yes to big brother and his PC gods, I said to myself.
