Hello, I bought a Flame Clock used without instructions. Can anybody please help me with a presentation idea??? Here is the effect:
The candle is put into the cabinet with the front doors and back door open. The doors are closed and two lovely knives are inserted into the cabinet, cutting the candle into thirds. The front doors and back door are opened and the candle can be seen at the top and bottom doors but the center doors, front and rear, you can see clear through. The candles center is missing. A weird and wonderful, mysterious effect and ends with the candle being removed whole again from the top of the cabinet. A great effect! Thanks Markus |

You should make up any storyline that might fit your style and type of routine, but the original one that fits the Chinese-style box is:
In the Ming dynasty years ago, they told time with a candle that burned for 24 hours. Eight hours for work, eight for play and eight for sleep. The mean emporer wanted more work from his subjects, so he cut out the middle eight hours of play and demanded more work. Soon he was overthrown (met his death by the sword) and the people had their 24 hours restored. That is a very brief picture but you get the idea as each part of the candle is explained. I even have a third of a candle on a needle on the lever and show the eight hours of play and vanish it, only to be restored upon the death of the leader. Don |
