I have yet to find a pirate hat that fits the following criteria:
Looks something like a pirate hat Quick and suitable for line work I've tried coming up with something (sometimes using the 5" rounds with pirate motifs) but it always ends up looking nothing like a pirate hat or becomes overly complicated Any suggestions? Thanks Mark |

Bad to the balloon has a good one I use all the time. Also in Balloon Magic Mag there are several over the years that past the test.

That would be Volume 1....
Anyone who has the video tell me the mistake I made in the tutorial. Consider it an easter egg.

David Brenion has my current favorite pirate hat on his More Rounds and Hearts DVD. It uses the Qualatex pirate skull print in the center.

I second Mark's hat on Bad to the Balloon. It's quick, easy to make and nails it as a Pirate Hat.

Yep didn't draw face on skull on first showing.... but the detail is on the slow down version.

Another side note .... when we shot the Shark sequence it was shot in reverse..
If you look at it again I am dry when I leave the water. I walked backwards into the water to make the shot happen.

I use the one on Mark's DVD and this one. It's a slight variation of the one in Balloon Magic magazine a while back.

I too use this one (along with Marks) except I put a string of gold bubbles outlining the hat...

I do like the string of gold. I go back and forth on using it or not depending on the event. But it does add a lot!
