Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley. "...as we reason and love, we are able to hope. And hope enables us to resist those things that would enslave us." |

Ray Bradbury was a great fan of magic. He wrote the introduction to Harry Blackstone Jr.'s "Book of Magic."
He will be missed. RIP Bob Cassidy |

Ray was my favorite Sci Fi writer throughout my teens.
My partner Tom got to perform for Ray many years ago. Tom treasures an Autograph (with an explanation) that Ray signed in the dark when the lights went out during the event. He told Tom that if he weren't a writer he would have been a Magician. A Magician once told Ray (as a boy) to "live forever". I'm sorry he wasn't able but he did live richly. -Mary Mowder |

Every time this happens I wonder what modern mythological figures are left, and then I find out the next time it happens.
Another tragedy for the arts.

Saw his name trending on Twitter, and I was saddened to hear the news. I read Farenheit 451 last year for school and absolutely loved it. He was one of the authors that have struck a special chord in my heart. RIP

A few years ago I wrote a section about how as a young child he like to do magic. Here is that section.
"It was at that age that Bradbury first started to do magic, which was his first great love. If he had not discovered writing, he would have become a magician.[18]" |

His comment about human cloning was delightful.
"Is there any point to which you would wish to draw my attention?"
"To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time." "The dog did nothing in the night-time." "That was the curious incident," remarked Sherlock Holmes. |
