Just saw an add for "Magic Mike" the movie. Apparently the movie is about a male stripper.

Driving around with "Magic Mike" - Quality Entertainment, Birthdays to Business Parties" on my car could get interesting.

I perform at the Orlando Magic games and my name tag says "Magic Mike". I can't tell you how many people come up to me and say, " You know they're making a movie named Magic Mike?" I just smile and say, "Yeah, I know...I should've asked for more money. But it's good exposure for me sooooo...." ; )

Similar to John "the balloon man" Holmes always signing his name and promoting himself that way to differentiate himself from the John Holmes of porn movie fame.

Yesterday a wman called me and asked if I was Magic Mike and said she wanted to see my movie. She seemed awkward and didn't have much to say. I responded as if she was just a regular caller who was joking about the movie and my name. I just waited for her to get around to the real reason for her call but she just stammered and repeated herself. I said thanks for calling and hung up.

A few minutes later she texted me and left a number. (It was the same number she had called from). The text was just like the phone call.

A half hour later my phone rang again and I checked the number on the diplay. It was her so I ignored it.

Tonight she called again and I answered. Same thing. A woman in the background told her to ask my real name. She said "My sister wants to know your real name" I just told her it was Mike. She stammered some more. I just kept waiting for her to make some point (good or bad).

I've had a lot of good natured joking about the situation. I hope I don't have to deal with too many kooks.

Entertainment Tonight called it a tentpole movie.

Excuse me, but did somebody call me?

It's Magic Mike, Not Mike Tyson. Be patient, you'll get your shot.

I want more than a shot. I wanna bite off someone's ear too.
