Anyone have any info on the latest ad in Magic magazine for some expert selling info on how to make phat money? The latest issue has an ad on the inside back cover for "How to Make Big Bucks with Big Bookings" by Nicholas George, "the world's most famous unknown booking agent". No web site, just a phone # to call and get the pitch (not even toll free!)... with the usual come on- "a free newsletter".
Obviously, if this guy's info is legit and helps you make money, great... Joe |

I will tell you, I ordered the newsletter and CD. While it does have misspellings and plays fast and loose with grammar, the newsletter and CD both contain some interesting nuggets of information.
I also would be interested to know what info anyone might have on Nicholas George. If everything he says is on the up and up, he's had a very exciting career and should be taken seriously. Have a great day! Joe L.

Of course, since most of these "success plans" being sold these days are under $300, a few (or one) gig could easily pay for them... there just seem to be a bunch to choose from now! And a few hundred bucks for each "system" can add up... so any info we can get from people who can confirm that they have successfully used whatever system is being touted is to our advantage... thanks for all the info...

This sure is a tricky topic. I'm glad to see this Nicholas George has received some sort of tolerant and marginally positive response. Indeed, just one good bit of information can be worth the asking price to the right performer. May future publishings contain these gems of information.

The question one should ask is if this perwson is offering material based on his own experience, or like Dave Dee, has merely repackaged other marketing programs like the work of Jay Abraham. If the latter is the case, then one is probably best served by going to the original source.

I personally prefer Dave Dee's stuff to Dan Kennedy's.
Why? Because Dave has distilled it through EXPERIENCE into something that I can immediately use and apply. There's no "converting" or extensive "testing" that I have to do because Dave did it for me. As he always says, "Why try to reinvent the wheel?" Now when I wanted to start learning about web sites and the Internet, there WERE no experts. Mostly because the web is still new, but also because most of the experts sell products and NOT services like a magic show. So, in order for me to learn about how to use the web to book more magic shows I had to invest and test and re-test and discover through four years of trial and error. I was often sitting in front of my computer for 12 hours a day. Man that sucked. From now on...I'll be buying courses. (And writing them so people don't have to go through that ****...) Also, while it is true that one gem is often worth the price of the course, I've come to hope that I'll receive more than one gem. Why settle? Especially an introductory level course like Dave Dee's should be FULL of gems (and for someone new to his type of marketing...it IS.) So I give a big "Right on!" to Jim Snack when he posts about not settling for just one gem. As far as Nicholas George...All I can say is that I've heard some grand things and my expectations are pretty high. I'm looking forward to seeing what he has to offer. Hopefully more than just one gem. Best, |

Can anyone review his course for us?

I know EVERYTHING about this course. I also know Nicholas George personally. A real character.
I even have a free copy of this course and can indeed give it a review. I first heard about it direct from the promoter, Mr. Rudy Van Langen. He told me that he was going to produce a course that would :"blow Dave Dee out of the water!" I remember bursting out laughing when I saw the course. There is NO marketing advice whatever!!!!!!! Just lots of showbusiness reminiscing from Nick who was indeed a successful agent years ago and who does indeed know showbusiness inside out. I remember thinking that Rudy would get loads and loads of displeased customers because Nick doesn't give one iota of business or marketing information at all! At least nobody will complain that his ideas are worthless though since he doesn't actually give any! However on closer inspection of the various CD's that came with the course I did indeed find lots of valuable marketing information by one of the hottest marketers in the business. No. Not Nick George! Rudy Van Langen! Hours of marketing advice from Rudy. Rudy does not know how to spell but he sure knows how to market. It is worth getting the tape for two reasons. It is fascinating to hear Nick George waffle about his life and he does tell you how to make women fall in love with you! Best advice I have ever heard on the subject too! The other reason to buy the course is to get good marketing info from Rudy Van Langen. Don't expect Nick to tell you anything much about it though! |

Hey, thanks for the really good review. I know a little bit about marketing myself, plus I have the Dave Dee course already. There are just so many marketing concepts, and the "new" ideas usually are actually new applications of the basic concepts.

I forgot all about this topic. I ordered the course a while back, and I returned it. Sorry to say, I don't recommend it.
Not that there wasn't some good info in there. But, guess what! If you order the special report and CD (for which I think you may now have to pay a measely $5.00), you'll have a summary of virtually all of the worthwhile info in the course. So I do recommend getting that. You might consider subscribing to the MORC website; before I returned the package, I did make a good contact with a cruise ship agent via MORC. If you are just starting out, and have no idea how to start booking shows, this course may be worth your investment. My two cents only. See ya! Joe L.
