It reminded me of The Battle of Carnival and Lent by Pieter Brueghel. I bought a print of that at a museum when I was a kid, just because I thought it was funky (it also has a cup and ball worker in it). I had no idea of the art history behind it. I think I still have it.

Brueghel was a follower of Bosch. The sausages painting reminded me more of Brueghel's work, due to its irreverent tone.
