I have been searching the internet for a set of Mikame linking rings. There are plenty of listings but everyone says sold out. I have even called several top suppliers. They all say 2 weeks maybe. I can't believe in this great big world a set can't be found. CP By the way just got the Levent ring DVD and love it.

Keep in mind that Mr. Mikame died last year and from what I hear his kids are not interested in keeping the business going.

The same can be said for any other Mikame effects as well. They are all very well made and highly sought after. As with most everything the linking Rings from Mikame will show up on E bay from time to time. But be prepared to bid high and more than likely pay a higher price than you would when they were more available. Will bit be worth it? I'd say yes.

The Ice-breaker...After spending a small fortune on cups and balls; I decided to branch out to linking rings.I purchased a used set of 10 inch rings, Pete Biro's book and Levent's DVD series all in the same week, just to see if I would like doing the rings. I like them. The next logical step is to decide what type of routine you would like to do and get a good set of rings. No need to extol Owen or Joe Porper rings I have read all the threads. I decided to go with Owen, but I also wanted more than 8 rings. Price became the problem (you will see if you read on). I also preferred the smaller 10 inch ring and I wanted at least 6 single rings to give out. I first looked at Klamm then DiFatta but I really wanted a good smaller set of at least 15 rings. Mikame fit the bill; the set has 9 rings so I will get my six singles and 17 usable rings. After scouring the web I found my first set, they will be here Thursday.I could use some help finding the second set.

The wholesale supplier for the Mikame products is Murphy Magic Supplies. Any dealer that deals with Murphy's can order a set for you, if they can meet the minumum order dollar amount. Or, you could contact Murphy's, and see if they will tell you a dealer they have sold the rings to, to help narrow your search.
The Mikame rings are 11 inch in diameter. http://www.murphysmagic.com/Product.aspx?id=40557 Check with Denny Magic at http://www.dennymagic.com they show they have the rings available. |

Let's hope your Mikame rings turn out better than mine - one ring in my set was substandard.
