The video below was put out by the Jet Propulsion Lab, an institution that's half NASA and half CalTech. Among other things, they put stuff on Mars.
It bears a strong resemblance to the hype-inducing press releases worthy of the marketing gurus at Apple. But, if their goal was to inspire awe about the difficulty of putting a rover safely on Mars, I think they succeeded. After watching this, I can't help but marvel at what's possible when a bunch of smart people work together.
