I've been a member of the magic Café for some time now but since my mother tongue is Spanish I've never had the courage to write anything until I move to Montreal and learn English and French.
I discovered magic 30 years ago when my great grandafther made some tricks to me. Now I know there were easy tricks but for a kid, Magic is Magic no matter the complexity. I never had the oportunity to study Magic until I was an adult and saw a magician perform the ambicious card rutine. What an amazing piece of magic, cleverness and astonishment. Since I'm very courios I needed to know how it work and bough an dvd from Michael Ammar with the same routine. Kowing how the magic is done for some poeple may be dissapointed but for me I was more amazed and needed to know who was the guy who invented that clever trick?, How he came up with that?. Who are the people behind those creations? For me Magic is not only a great way to entratain an audience but an emotional ride for the magician itself to be amazed with those who not only do Magic but create a new world of astonishment. I live now in Montreal and would love to meet new people that like magic as I do. I have an amazing collection of books and dvds about magic and a night with friends in the backyard having a BBQ (Argentinian bbq btw ) and talking about magic, performing and watching others perform Is better than a date. Specially since I'm married and not allow to have dates. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you are around Montreal and sorry for my english. |

Welcome blockmagic,
It is wonderful to hear about a Grandmother giving the first great impression of Magic. I agree with your no dating after Marriage rule (unless it it a date with your Wife). -Mary Mowder |

Welcome blockmagic,
I used to live in Montréal 15 years ago...It was a great city, but with time many things have changed there. Every time I go in Montréal the traffic is a nightmare. Now I'm living in Bécancour, half between Montréal and Québec city. Really nice place. So, since you learned both French and English in Montréal I am gonna ask my question in French; Quels sont tes champs d'intérêts en magie; cartes, monnaie, etc ?. Mike
Do your best and forget the rest
