Hi guys.
I created a trick based around google around a year ago. heres how the trick works A member of the audience selects a random card. The card is then lost in the deck. The magician makes a few wrong guesses, then turns to a computer and opens up google. You ask the member of audience to name there card, BUT, type into the search box somethin unrelated to that card. (be it something about food, or bricks and mortar).... The search button is clicked and the user is presented with the selected card they chose from the deck!! The trick has no sleight of hand work, no forces and has an instant reset time. You don't even need a deck, you can ask people to think of a card and the results will still work 100% of the time ... well theres the trick.... would anybody like to see a demo video? |

In my opinion, if they tell you their card before you type ANYTHING into Google it is a weak trick. There are ways to get around this...

It was an example.... of course theres many ways...the point of the post is that google guesses your card and theres no need to force a card!!!
theres no funny fiddling around... you can load google in front of them...they input something that has nothing to do with there card....and google displays there selection! to be honest the only thing people ever come up with for an answer is "theres voice recognition" .... which is why I like them to name the card..... because after they say that you then tell them to select a card but not name it..... you don't even need a deck...theres so many possibilities with this... so sir.... your feedback is welcomed...but naming the card is only building up the trick which can be repeated over and over again instantly leaving them with no more possibilities of thinking what it could be! thanks actually...i did it to a guy fresh outta jail and he said to me.... "but google doesn't guess cards does it" .... I decided it was pointless repeating it lol |

With stuff like this Google (or your iPad or smart phone or whatever) gets the credit, not the performer. The spectator also knows that theres "something" going on like a cue IMO.

Hi guys... havent been on for a while, workload has been crazy and havent had time to even see what day or month I'm in
ill try and get a vid up soon as soon as I get some free time (and some innocent bystanders) to futureal.... I agree the performer doesn't get much (if any) credit for the trick, but this trick wasnt built around getting people to worship you. |
