I just got back from Abbott's 75th Get-Together and two of the gems I picked up were these props.....
First the Dazzling Magic Crystal Silk Cylinder....It's just beautifully made and is first class all the way....I'm VERY happy with this prop.....and Marty Hahne is a great guy, too. I will be using this, for starters on platform shows, by transforming six 18" silks.... blue, white, green, red, yellow and black.... into a giant 6 foot square butterfly silk. (One of the new ones and yes, it's a beautiful silk!) I'm using six of the silks I got to match all of the silks that were on the DoveLight 18" Line of silks I purchased....it's nice and very useful to have multiple uses for the silks you have. Next, Bob Sander's "I don't Do Blue Material" set... This is a GREAT set....extremely well-made and designed and a BARGAIN.....do yourself a favor......just buy it.....you'll be happy that you did~! |

Thank you, Rainboguy. It has served me well as the whole routine and simply using the props separately. It is certainly a deal financially that would easily cost 3 times as much in a magic shop if they could get them! They cannot.
Thanks again. Bob |

Is there a website link to Bob's set? Thanks for any help in advance.

I owe you an apology. The week before I had a heart attack and things got a little off schedule. Subsequently, I had a (predictable) drug reaction that was worse than the heart attack and surgery. We have overcome those things now (and changed doctors). Except for long distance driving, I'm back up to speed. There are still sets of the "I Don't Do Blue Material" left. But when they are gone they are gone. They are $50 and include my Walk-Around Silk to Egg ($30), Pro 20th Century 18" Silk ($32) red with blue center, and my Egg Dropper ($8). Shipping is $5. The instructions are included for the Walk-Around Silk to Egg and the "I Don't Do Blue Material" routine. Obviously, the parts cost more than the set. These reviews in The Good, The Bad, and The Garbage (Tricks & Effects) may help you. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......um=109&1 http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......um=109&7 http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......&start=0 I am at the ranch. I think Marty's Silk Cylinder is the best out there. Can handle a large load of silks to disappear/transform,much more so than MAK or some others.
The magic is not in our sleights and illusions, but instead in our ability to bring love and joy.

I talked with length with Marty about his Crystal Silk Cylinder before buying it. He purchased rights from Gene Elmo and the improved his designs...yes they are very nice with unique design touches that make them a pleasure to work with. Regarding a large load........the 6 18's that I transform into a six foot square butterfly silk is a pretty darn big load..........but I'm sure that it could hold more. |

Jim,
Thank you for the encouragement. Things are going to be OK. Today I see the new doctor and see where we go from here. The outlook is good. Bob |

Thank you, Mike. Yesterday I got great news from my new doctor. And I have the blood pressure of an athlete! (100/70) That is magic in itself! John Calvert may have nothing on me. (Although he did promise to visit me in the nursing home when we get old enough. And we hope he does.)
Marty's Crystal Silk Cylinders are beautiful and tough enough for the road. (We use two of them for a transposition.) I have also used them in TV commercials for product placement. Small trophies will also fit in them for awards banquets. Give it a try. (Once at a Christmas office party, they were used to produce employees' bonus checks.) Bob |

Showing the 20th Century Silk with the Blue in the center also gives you enough cover to produce (a body loaded) 36" "Thank You" Silk.
