Hello there everyone,
I have a question and maybe some of you here might be able to point me in the right direction. I am looking for an automatic system to replace the ol regular ring when people call my business line. Something along the lines of " HEY thank you for calling Armando the magician etc etc." Can anyone point me in the right direction in where I can obtain something like this? Thank you, Armando |

I've got a cheap 800 number that I've had since moving back to the states. It's even got MAGIC in the digits. It runs me about 10 bucks a month and has some handy features in addition to the basic auto-attendent and directory features.
http://www.new.onebox.com/home Edit: Apparently I am grandfathered on an old plan that no longer exists. The $16.95 plan has the greeting, but not the auto-attendant options. I haven't played much with google voice, mostly due to their lack of numbers local to me in Texas but it's hard to beat free. I've also heard good things about Grasshopper. I've also been playing with twilio.com, which is more of a platform where you have complete control over your phone system. My current project is to program it such that when a phone call comes in it automatically pops up the person's record in my database; if they leave a VM it loads it into my database and creates a to-do item to return the call and things of that nature. |
