Chris, I purchased the dvd a few days ago from Hocus Pocus, so it should be on its way, and arrive (hopefully) next week.
Will let you know more when I have it. All I know for now, is it includes 13 "eye-popping" effects with un-gimicked cards By the way, I think the dvd is made in France, and that Duvivier speaks french, his native language. But as I see it, his magic needs no translation.

Still waiting for the shipment from Hocus Pocus
As soon I have the dvd I will make an review My guess adam, is that is advanced card magic involded but that is only a guess By the way, you can check out his magic in the book Magie Duviver, written by Jon Racherbaumer, and published by Kaufman & Greenberg, 179 pages with cards, coins, coin boxes, wallets, linking pins, and cups & balls. Also included are the gimmicked cards and cardcase for "Printing" Note that many of the effects presented in this book uses gimmicked props.

I have his 3 video set with some awesome effects, and if it is anything like them, you will have lots of fun.

I will have to disagree on Duviviers material. I have read his book and watched his earlier three video set and in my opinion they are allmost the worst tapes I have ever seen,I have seen many, over 400.
The tricks are way too comblicated for laymen to appreciate and follow. Also Duviviers tegnical ability at least on video is unimpressive. He barely can shuffle the deck. Doing three slip cuts openly is what he refers a shuffle. If I remember correctly there was two better effects on the tapes and they were marketed effects that you mush buy in order to perform them. If the new tape is as bad as his previous, I would stay away from it. |

I would have to disagree with korttihai. His technical ability is very impressive. He is very smooth and effortless. And his cards to pocket are worth the price of all three tapes alone. Fried me the first time I saw it.
Well that's just my opinion. Very curious as to a review once someone has viewed this new dvd. Cheers! |

So I have finaly recived and watched Duvver's "Solo" dvd.
And he is good, VERY good, no doubt about it. He is skillfull with a deck of cards, and this is what this tape is all about, 13 advanced card effects. Now I only wish I had leared frence in school. It was as I suspected from the begining, he is talking his native language, and there is no translation as far I noticed. ( I might be wrong of course). Anyway, its very pleasureable to watch him doing his stuff. If french irritates you, you can always turn the volume down

The French irritate everyone ( just teasing ).
I'm sure there is an English Over Dub. He's a skillful fellow with cards.
