Fantasio candles are best. Only one thing, vanishing candle can be used for vanishing and appearing, but appearing candle can only be used for appearing.

Does anyone know if I could use the vanishing candle into Hanky Panky? I want to be able to have the candle on a table and then pick it up and turn it into a silk, is this plausible with the Fantasio candles?

Thank you for your responses I appreciate it! And I apologize, I was referring to Hanky Panky by Scott Alexander and Puck.

It is also possible to do a color change by having one of each in your hand and letting them both work at the same time. A little flick of a silk in front is all the cover you need.

Just make sure they are the real deal. They are fantastic to work with. Lance Burton used them in his manipulation act. Fantasio also has a book called "My canes and candles" which really shows how brilliant he is. The book teaches you everything you need to know and is packed with routines and ideas performed by Fantasio himself. |

Nothing bad on the Fantasio candles but I have some problems with it.
Some of the caps are almost impossible to open without tearing the inner part out and other caps just fall off when you put them back in . . . . Are there others with this problem and how do you fix them other than using brute force for opening and a piece of tape for closing Magical Greetz from Holland, Peter van Rhein |

Yes, just brute force. Years before Fantasio put the plug in, there was none, so in the Fantasio Book you will note they reference a small cork to for the plug. This works well also. Here in America, small cords can be purchased in hardware stores that carry the speciality fasteners section in the store. If you want to attach a silk, Fantasio suggest placing a loop between the tank and housing. Works great. |

Thanx Bill
Brute force has so far destroyed 3 of my candles in a way I had to glue the inner container to the outershell. I think I will try working with a cork this week. Thanx for the advise |

I have to use force on one of mine too. What works for me is to ex***d the c**l an inch or so in reverse, then hold on to the inner container itself while pulling out or replacing the plug.
