I see the depth of experience here so thought I'd ask for some advice. I'm doing a comedy bit at Xmas. Volunteer stuff as I'm no pro. It starts by producing 3 coins one at a time, then disappearance of each one at a time again. So far nothing too challenging for most here. Would be nice to have a 3 fly in between ala Wilson and Porpers "The Fly" where you produce, coins across then disappear, that would be great but believe the set is not too practical from searches here on the Café. Perhaps someone here has a different opinion on The Fly. Its appealing because you end clean of course, nothing for them to ask "let me look at those"
I particularly liked the appearance of the second coin in the Triception demo. It looks like the s*** jumps off to make the illusion the invisible coin tossed in the air appears when it lands in the hand. But reading some of the post on it it seems you need another coin to unseat it. Also I'm getting the impression you have to start with a coin before making others appear where I want to show hands empty then produce 3 coins. Can I achieve this with Triception. I do own a triple Threat should I stick with my T T, it is a great gaff. Perhaps there is a good DVD that can help me with a clever routine along those lines that isn't too knuckle busting. Any advice to help me make an inform decision is greatly appreciated. |

There are lots of choices for the method; I'm curious as to what your comedy angle will be.....

The ability to show/display both hands empty before starting a production sequence has nothing (little?) to do with any gaff employed. Some gaffs may make it easier to then apparently produce additional coins, but the first coin is a matter of Sleights, Moves and Subtleties and Steals. There are many ways to do this found in books and DVD's. Contact Mb as his inexpensive effects use some of these methods -- and I am sure other easily obtained books and DVD's have methods as well.

Hello Takeachance,
Review this link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj055bhJfzs Is this the sort of thing you're looking for? Production, 3 Fly, Vanish. Jim. |

For a 3 coin routine that ends clean I'd recommend Oxy Clean by Eric Jones. I don't do it exactly as he does nor do I use the same gaff but the overall structure is fantastic. You could use your TT To perform it.

As for the triception, you only need another coin to remove the [ when it is on the closed FL*****. the mag is in the bottom side.

Many thanks guys. The comedy angle tedski is a story of an older sibling telling me as a kid that I "couldn't do that" after seeing a Copperfield show and saying I want to be a magician. As the first stage is achieved and they're underwhelmed, and say, yeah that's OK but a real magician could ....... and keep building each stage from criticism. Bill, I have a TKO2 and will definately be using it. jimmyj that's great. I actually work out of Singapore, many thanks very helpful I'll be chasing that up. Poof-Daddy (interesting name) many thanks, triception is very tempting as I mentioned the appearance of that 2nd coin looks so magical it stands out as a moment of astonishment as the saying goes. Jumbopenny, Oxy-Clean by Eric Jones gets so much praise on other threads that I have to look into it now you and Mb217 recommended it can suit my requirement, thanks guys. And funsway, you are always more than helpful I'll take you up on your offer and touch base.
Can't thank you guys enough for taking the time to steer me in the right direction Neil |

Neil,
You can certainly produce three coins from nothing using the Triception gimmick. It can also be done with other gimmicks as well as without any, as folks have mentioned above. Eric's Oxy-Clean routine is nice, but I personally think that his "Out With Three" comical three coin production would look better. It doesn’t use any gaff coins but IMO is actually easier to perform with practice. And you could follow it with Eric's Spectators Visible Coins Across which is also gaffless but very magical. Both are on his Mirage Et Trois DVD. Thanks! Jim PS - Here's a video of the above effects: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKr9X7z0g2I |

Thanks Jim, yes I just ordered both his notes for Oxy Clean and Mirage Et Trois now. Thanks for your recommendation. Because of my patter/story-line for my little routine I certainly require going from one stage to another to build the moment of astonishment and match my lines. The combination you recommended fits the bill. I have Eric's Audible. His work is top shelf. Appreciate your help Jim.
