You can view them for free. To download them you need to belong to a university or some kind of instution. Since I don´t, I couldn't download them directly. Maybe if someone can, can contact me to send me a few that I need (the books are public domain, as far as I know). thanks! |

Grippo, It does take some time, but I copy each page and paste it into MicroSoft Office Word 2007. Then use the save as PDF and the book will be published in that form for you to save and read.
I have been doing this with public domain publications for years from sites that include Hathi Trust, Learned Pig, Internet Archive, and Google Free Books. I have several 4gb flash drives I save them onto, according to style of magic. I also have a bound book I keep notes in as to where specific effects are located in the flash drives, such as egg bag, paddle move, book tests, and so on. In addition, since the ebooks are saved as PDF, they can be printed out as a pamphlet. I searched online to learn how to bind them, made my own jig, and now have hard copies of those books I want hard copies of, leaving the rest on FD to save space and hassle. It does take time, but in my opinion, worth it. Click here to view attached image.

Many (not all) of these Hathi Trust books have been digitized by Google. In those cases, you can simply look up the title at books.google.com, and you will typically be able to download the same file in its entirety.

Thanks to all who have posted here for the leads on free resources. I nearly skipped the thread as I thought it required an e-reader device. Glad I went ahead and read it anyhow.
