Does anyone have any good Haloween masks?
Thanks.

There are a couple of good ones (werewolf, etc) in Caldwell's "Things that Go Pop in the Night" but if you want the best masks, David Brenion's template is far and away the best in my opinion. "Nifty Balloons: Masks" might just be my favorite balloon DVD purchase to date. If you can manage a sidewall bubble in a 646, you should be golden. I've applied his basic concept to a whole slew of characters and each one is a reputation-maker.

End of story! Nifty's Masks DVD is the WAY TO GO! Really however, any "mask" will do fine. Buster has some cool masks and there are many in Balloon Magic that are quite awesome too!

I suppose you'll need to wait until they are back in stock, but if it's a priority, then let me say that Caldwell has a great elephant and (and also zebra?) mask/hat on his "Mad Hatz and Wild Wearables Vol. 2" that is also impressive. And like Christopher said, Balloon Magic Magazine usually offers a pretty decent mask about every issue. Here's also a free tutorial that offers a quick and easy base that works for several types of mask: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOuYaHI6URY Good luck! edit- And here's another simple mask: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxJNSfeGfH4 |

I contacted David Brenion at Nifty Balloons today regarding Nifty Ballons 4 - Masks. He said that instead of DVDs, he will offer online downloads from his website and that the Masks will be added this week. You can Google "Nifty Balloons videos" to find his downloads.
Thanks for recommending his masks, I can't wait to purchase the download when it becomes available. |

Anyone know where this mask is found? I actually got it as an email from a past client that saw it online. Looks like a Buster type, but I haven't seen it. Anyone see anything like it?

Never seen it before, but it looks neat. Perhaps a combination of Buster's shark and David's mask (ish...) with some 646 arms (complete with blush 321 fingers!) scabbed in? Tell me though, is it a werewolf or an attack gorilla? Or something else entirely?

I thought werewolf, but now that I see it it doesn't really have the ears.

Stretch's mask pdf is pretty similar to the Brenion stuff. Stretch's is boxier though.

Looks very Buster like...a combo of the shark and t-rex. Looks quite simple to make if you know how to make both of those designs. I like this very much!

Here's a good mask that I use from Balloon Magic. YAR!
I have the David Brenion Mask DVD but haven't had time to work on it. There's a great pirate on his Mask collection that's way better than this, but this one pretty simple to crank out! Normally, when I'm asked for a sword, I'll also make this along with it.

They all went together nicely and I chased people down the street all halloween. Dylan Gelinas |

My goodness Christopher you make super giant balloons in your restaurants. I make big balloons, but that is awesome. How do you have time to make such big balloons? I would love to invest in making balloons like that, but I wonder if I would be able to make them fast enough to be practical. How long does something like that pirate mask take to make?

I will strive to get faster as time goes by, I sooooo badly want to be that good. No one in the Charleston area is making balloons like that, and I want to smoke the competition, lol. I never knew I was competitive until I started making balloons.
