Hi,

I was looking around and just ran into a GREAT program called readydj. I have used the test version and it is very easy to use and cheap. The reason it is so great is that you can program each key of a comp. or laptop keyboard to play a certain sound or song just at the touch. I strongly reccomend you check it out the website is http://www.readydj.com .

Enjoy Smile

Greetings...

I downloaded this program and have started fooling around with it... I'm gonna see if I can map my remote control to the keyboard... then I can have remote buttons to activate different sounds/files, without having to worry about starting and stopping Winamp or something...

There is an amazing amount of software out there for DJs. You'd think that everything that could be done had been done, but there always seems to be someone else with another program and a slightly different twist on things.

I list a similar program, SoundPlant, on my site. It's what I found a couple of years ago when I wanted to be able to trigger sound cues in any order, instead of a pre-determined order. Check it out at http://www.soundplant.org/

Note: There's a freeware version!

And if you want to browse through the world of DJ software, here's a place to start...

I downloaded both and couldn't make head or tail of Soundplant. There appears to be no help file and I'm lost. Smile

ReadyDJ, on the other hand, is a breeze. So cool! Thanks Jon for the heads up Smile
Warmest regards
James

If you have a creative soundcard you can use SOUNDFONTS.
There should be instructions with it.
Use Vienna to program what sounds you want to trigger and away you go.
