Does anyone care to speculate on the workings of the Turk?
I thought the bullet catch was very lame. I was hoping that Penn & Teller's version would be featured. Despite it's shortcomings, I felt this was an above average show. I don't see it becoming a series as the subject was very specific, to the "Lost History of Magic". |

It was okay and good for magic but I felt this was a less impressive redo of the Steinmeyer/Oulette idea that was the NBC special "Hidden Secrets of Magic" from way back.

I loved the idea that both Steve and the producers kept the concept of magic as mysterious and secret, unlike the feeling given by many other shows.
We were contacted by the producers on the bullet catch and offered help but were never contacted back. It did not seem to be under real challenge conditions. Overall I thought Steve did a great job and looked in control and very magical. It should bring him up to a new level, which is great for him and good for magic in general. We hope they do some follow up shows.
