His angle separation, there's another technique that involves cutting through the deck a couple times (can't recall off hand what it's called). But I highly recommend you pick up some of his work. Also, Woody Aragon dedicates the beginning of his book to subtle ways of separating the colors. His work feels a little knacky, but it looks fantastic. and finally, Kostya' Kimlat's roadrunner cull DVD. Those are the resources I'd check out.

Michael - I believe that the name of the second technique you've mentioned is the "1-2 Separation".

Green's angle thing is a direct rip-off of my THE GREAT DIVIDE, which is the original and definitely better. It's re-written and updated in THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, Vol. 3 (along wioth Trend Setters, Quantum Leaps, Dingle's Deceptions, etc. Check it out. (I believe you can see me do THE GREAT DIVIDE, not under the best of circumstances, if you go to http://www.youtube.com/harrylorayneonvideo . I think that's the link.)

(Matt), Well, I thought you wanted another shuffle to separate black and red cards. To interlace them. A perfect Faro shuffle will do that if you started w/ all blacks in half the deck, reds in the other half; perfect cut, perfect Faro, you're there.
