I'd like to see a prelude, going way back to the first Sith and how it all came about.
Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.

Papa Smurf rejects gargamel after doing what?
Did that make Luke the new emperor -> president by acclaim? Midichlorine farmers? What do they want? Maybe the Sith just use betrayal to trap those who find power over others a (fatal) attraction. No strong AIs in that fairytale? Agreed it's a nice contemporary fairy tale framework. Transparent to the literate though. See Luke fly. Fly Luke fly. Not sure it will serve beyond nostalgia or a competitor for Battlestar Galactica franchise.

The Star Wars movies are far more iconic than other science fantasy franchises and even a few science fiction franchises. There is so much source material that Lucas himself has stated even before he sold the store to Disney that rebooting the franchise just wouldn't make sense. Star Trek did because Abrams successfully created a cool alternate timeline. But if Disney did that with Star Wars, I think something would be gained that is an important part of our culture. I love both Star Trek and Star Wars but I just see Star Wars as the best candidate for a reboot. By the way, can anyone figure out from that totally ambiguous video whether it will be IV, V, VI, or VII, VIII, IX? In the the video, I see a man sitting with George Lucas and then that man says that there will be new star wars films, "seven" "eight" "nine" is that VII, VIII, IX or is it IV, V, VI? |

I'm just waiting for Darth Vader to show up in "Once Upon a Time"- then I might start watching it with my wife. They've done every other Disney franchise...
