The mirage deck uses R and S just like the invisible deck BUT the routines are completely different (Don't confuse the Mirage deck with the Brainwave Deck either). I worked behind a magic counter and demonstrated the Mirage deck and the routines that I know don't require you to seperate the cards durring a spread.
For instance, to force a card you simply spread the cards and ask the spectator to place a finger on any card. You then cut the spread at that point and then close the spread with the spec still touching their card. You then PEEL the card off the top and show it to them. I say PEEL but LIFT might be more accurate. You don't spread the cards to separate them at all. Revisit your instructions or PM me if you need more help with the Mirage Deck. |

Dry hands can make the separation tough as well.

Thanks for the tips guys, licking my thumb before hand is working the best at the moment.. Had a few vodkas tonight and the cards are zipping off, I think I have found my style" drunk magic".

There's nothing more compelling than licking your thumb.

Hi! Hand lotion before doing the mirage, or invisible deck really helps.
