Patents really don't do anything for you, its just artillery to go to court with, to be honest I'm not even a magician... I love magic but don't have the time to practice it but I am, I guess you could say, a "Magic Enthusiast". Anyway I have a feeling I know how you perform this trick, and honestly I think it wouldnt be worth your time and money to go out and spend money on a patent on it. It's a beautiful trick, and I think its amazing and I don't want to discourage you using it but coming from a person that knows a few things about patents I wouldnt bother IMO.
Again, GREAT TRICK!!! Paul |

Excellent effect good luck I will not be the first to buy it cause there are too many candidates already but I will buy it as soon as they are done.
The musicians protect publishing rights not Patent rights and they are different. You can not patent music as such and therefor it is accepted. Patent the thing and get it over with. Take some good advice from Tom and do it the right way. |

I am a levitating maniac, so count me in for your first sale when you are ready. Take my name down and send me a PM or email: rlucas1@mindspring.com. As for advice, you really need to discuss this with a Patent Attorney, get it from the horse's mouth. Even though it might be similar, the under and over with your left hand is most impressive. You've got me envious wishing I was that creative. Good luck with it, and enough dicsussion, you can talk yourself right out of the secret and might not even realize it. The offer of a secret of an old trich for your trick was the worse bit of business I've ever heard of, I hope you didn't oblige, otherwise it good bye secret - you'd have given it away! The Best of Luck! MOJave, We cannot see your head and left arm at the end when you strecth it forward - are you using an Assistant?

Mojave I think that is an excellent effect. A few years ago I purchased a small video titled "Lite Flight," and an extra effect that came with the video, the performer makes a pencil float. That particular effect was called Frozen in Time, it was cool because you could move one of the ends of the pencil and it would still be, "Frozen in Time". I'm not sure if your effect with the card is the same or not but personally I wouldn't publish your technique. Although the concept I'm sure has been around but not in the way you presented it. Selling it might put some money in your pocket but I think you should be greedy and keep it for yourself. At least for right now.
One of my close friends once said, "You will make one money performing for layman then you ever will then performing for magicians, considering the right circumstances." I think he is right. It hurts me to say that because I'm very intrigued with your effect. Save it for the late night hang outs at conventions to freak out magicians. |

I couldn't believe reading that some guy offered you his already published, crappier trick, for your pure, un-spoiled, un-used trick... what a royal @$$H0L3, no way I would take my business to someone that evil
best bet is to stay away from someone like that

L7,
Ive performed it surrounded, alhtough its best if the audience is in about a 120 degreee arc in front of you as it looks much better within this range.

Hi mojave,
I already have a trick, that seems to be exactly the same, although I would like it not to be for you.you do present it very, very well, even at these early stages. please pm me,and I will discuss the routine of the trick I do,i don't ask for yours in return.its to help you,to see if this is the same,i can also give you a link to this trick being done too(where I got it from). I did notice "a little something" that I wont mention till pm,but this does appear that you have a different hook up,ha ha,very sneaky.i wouldn't look normally, but I'm sneaky myself.hats off to this guy every one! all the best, keep at it,regardless of the knocks best wishes jezza

I used to perform the flying "ufo" card trick, and stopped due to its obviousness. I would pay $100 for this trick. Offer no less that $50. I know many people would pay over a hundred, but with all the tricks on my wish list, a hundred would be a reasonable price for such a grand illusion. Let me know when you have it on the market, and I will buy it ASAP!
