Hello everybody,
my name is Fred, I'm 37, I live in the north of France and I met Magic about 3 years ago. I started with card tricks. I'm now more interested in coins and in ring and rope magic. I like to build my own stuff and gimmicks: I make coin boxes (okito, slot, boston...), and I'm presently working on modifying a wooden chest. Best regards, Fred |

Welcome FredT,
Ring and Rope is the gift that keeps on giving. It plays well to all sorts of people and in several different venues. It must be cool to make just the right sort of gimmick (whatever those are). -Mary Mowder |

Thanks for your welcome messages.
I am planning to go on holidays to Los Angeles (during april). I would like to know what magic related places we must visit. For sure we will try to go to the Magic Castle, but I'm not quite sure how it works if we just want to watch a show there. Are there other great places devoted to magic ? Any advice will be highly appreciated. I did not find wa better place post this message, if it is inappropriate here, please let me know. Best regards, Fred |

Fred, you might try posting something about your LA trip in The Marquee Says forum, down there at the bottom in the General Magic forums. I've never been to the Magic Castle myself, living on the east coast of US and not going west much, but I think you might be able to get someone to sponsor you for admission, if they're a member. That shouldn't be too difficult to do in here. Just ask around.
Welcome to the Café! best, bob
What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?
My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums. |
