You come to a point in your life when you really don't care what people think about you, you just care what you think about yourself.

Yup. It is amazing that a major city like DC can't support a place where you can see a blockhead and naked wimmen while having a beer. So sad.

Especially considering all the totally useless skills exhibited by so many of the folks there, that receive regular news coverage.

As a side note, do you know you can use the parking lot at walmart for a grind show. We use to do it a few years back. All you do is call the store manager and ask if they have any events in the lot for the day youd like and let them know youd like to use it.

A sad day to be sure...
I'll fondly remember the casual, pre-show discussions with Swami, Mab(just Mab) and several others pre-show in 2008. Then there was getting "Pinned" by Red as my intro to pincushion... Loved walking around in the museum upstairs every visit. Sent many a co-worker to what I described as "The Strangest Show you'll ever see"... We lose too many fascinating places too often… Steve |

Yeah, we're all feeling pretty low about it. Cheeky Monkey Sideshow will be giving a send off in grand style with our final show at the Palace, this Friday.

I'm saddened to hear of the closing. How was the show Stephon?

It was really nice. Good crowd. A little melancholy, but definitely a celebration and not a funeral.
The good news is that several venues have stepped up to fill the void, so there's actually more work than there was before.
