If this becomes a consistent problem, you may wish to consider working with 100% plastic cards from a maker such as KEM. I have some, and while I don't use them often (no need, as I don't have a big problem with humidity/lack of humidity), but they are excellent, will last forever (!) and will always be unaffected by humidity.
Plus, they are virtually indestructible. They don't fan as well, but they faro fine.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".
