Wegelin, which was established in 1741, in the small Swiss town of St Gallen, started in business 35 years before the US declaration of independence. It is closing as a result of being fined by the US for keeping US citizens bank accounts there secret and so evade tax. Other Swiss banks have in recent years moved to prevent US citizens from opening offshore accounts. So it looks like the end of ye old Swiss bank and ye old Swiss bank accounts for the ye old US citizens.

If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

The Nazis started a bank they called Fegelein Bank, but Hitler ended up shutting it down.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".
