Hey guys, I think I am the only magician/illusionist that does not know CMH. So, obviously, I want to buy it. However, I do not know how to choose from all the different mediums in which it is taught. Can anyone lead me in the right direction as to who has the best routine/teaching medium? Thanks,
Things are about to change........ LIGHTS!!!

Penguinmagic.com has an instant download called quantum bandits which is supposed to be really good. I'm not advocating you buy it though, but if you want just that effect, then by all means. you can also find the effect in one of Michael Ammar's books I think

I think Oz started at one point describing electron valence shells. That'd be a great presentation for a Chemistry 101 class, but not for Joe Accountant or any other layperson. |

The book "The Magic of Michael Ammar" is good if you want to read the effect.
The Video "Classic Renditions" vol 2, if you want to see Michael perform and explain CMH. Peo

I don't think the routine or the presentation is that great of a deal, you don't want to buy a 'patter' for it. Just get you hands on it and learn it. It will speak for itself, and you can make up your own presentations for it. Simon |

Go with Penguins Magic instant download. It's the easiest and quickest way you can learn a CHM routine.

If you are just looking for CMH, then I would suggest you take a look at Michael Ammar's short booklet (titled "The Crazy Man's Handcuffs") on this effect. I recently learned this effect and this is the source I used. Michael gives a very thorough explanation and also discusses the orginator of this effect and a climax sequence for the end.
I'm sure you can find it at various online shops.

I second that, please, please, please go with Ammar if you want to learn propper. He is an amazing teacher, and to learn one of his trademark effects from anyone else should be a crime.

I recommend Dan Harlan's set of band tapes. If you want to get addicted to rubber band magic, here is a great source of anything to do with bands.

Hi illusioneer:
I agree with the others who suggest you go with Michael Ammar. His CMH booklet is excellent, but in this case I recommend you buy his video on CMH. I think this is a case where video is superior to a book; there are a lot of little touches that are crystal clear on the video. Plus, there are some practice sessions on the video, where Ammar does the routine over and over, and you can practice along. The video is part of his "Classic Renditions" series. You can find it at most dealers, or directly from him as http://www.ammarmagic.com. I've bought a number of things from his website, and his service is very good. Ron |

Ah yes, I forgot he had that. Definitely get the video. I love videos. Perhaps he will bring it out on DVD soon. If he does, he has this DVD rebate thing, where if you have already bought the video, you just pay him a little extra to cover the cost of the DVD and he sends it to you.
