H&R Magic Books are publishing Norman Gilbreath's long awaited book on his principle in June.
It is finally happening! |

That is really great, I cannot wait !
Where did you get the information ? Is there any details somewhere about its contents ? I cannot find anything about the book on the H&R website. |

I was one of the people posting in the thread on the Café about his book, though I have not read it. My experience was of Norman's lecture, so cannot comment on the quality of the book itself.
One point that is perhaps of general note is that it is easy to assume that the creator/discoverer of something (in this case the Gilbreath principle) is necessarily a master of its applications, though this need not be the case. Norman's lecture focused very little on the principle, and I would think that this may well be the case for the book too. My only regret on this front is that it would perhaps have been nice to hear Norman talk at a greater length about how he came to realise the idea. For interesting applications of the Gilbreath principle, I should think we are better off focusing attention on the forthcoming books by Maven and Trost, and trying to track down Vollmer's monograph! I remember seeing another trick by Henry Evans where he uses gilbreath in a very nice trick called Risky Bet. On his other side of illusions. I did it a little bit different to him using a money purse and some change. I really like it.
