Does anyone remember hiS "MERCURY WONDER THEATER"?
During World War II, he had a show in Hollywood. I was a teenager, and just barely remember it. (I never saw it.) I think it was a show for GIs, and did not tour. It may have been associated with USO.

Orson Welles was an incredible raconteur.
His story involving Winston Churchill is the best story I have ever heard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpqwY7QL7r8 Here is Welles discussing a great trick Harry Houdini did at the Kremlin for an audience that included the Tsar, his wife and Rasputin! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaooTLg2......&t=4m40s Lastly - here is a wonderful trick David Copperfield did with Orson Welles - from beyond the grave! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BliyB7mt-5s I think this is the best thing Copperfield has ever done. All the best, Joe Mckay |
