Are there any brass or gold colored half-dollar sized coins available. I have Silver and Copper colored coins (American half-dollar, and English Penny). I'm looking for something to contrast with them.
Thanks, Ted

Hi Ted! Brass, I'm not sure about. You can find gold-plated half dollars on eBay. You might find brass-plated ones as well. That is always a good option!

This is a real half dollar that is gold plated....Positive reviews and feedback, and its only $9! I have it myself, and it is beautiful. Here it is: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S3992

Dr. Michael Rubinstein does a Midas-type effect where four English Pennies turn to gold one at a time and they are tossed into a cup. Then the cup is dumped out, and they are English Pennies again! It's on one of the NYCM Seminar DVD's. I can think of several variations on this by using copper, brass, silver, gold, and even black anodized. The possibilities...

Thanks for all your input. Octopus Sun I have the African coins. They are still colored too much like the English Penny. drbuzzard, I've thought about the fake Chinese coins and may go that route. I have some so it's an easy solution, but I was hoping for a real foreign coin in a different color. If I can find someone to plate a coin of the right size a different color I might do that.
Again, thanks for the suggestions. Ted

I believe that English 2 Pound coins are just a bit smaller than a half dollar. Kind of nice looking, too, to me.

I would give a caution in regard to gold plated halfs. I bought some off of eBay a few years ago, and the color varied from coin to coin, and tended to be so light that one could easily miss the fact that it is gold color (defeats the point of using them).
