Anyone seen this one?
Tempted - only $10 No peeks or marks? Borrowed deck? It's friday here in Aus, so if no reviews come through, I'll pick it up tonight and give me 2c worth... Looks pretty cool... http://www.emagicsupply.com/index.php?ma......s_id=402 Imagine being able to see through playing cards, as if you had X-RAY EYES like Superman! This diabolical secret allows you to look at the back of a playing card and reveal the color of it's face. It's as if you are able to see right through the solid card! Pull cards from a borrowed deck and name their colors without ever seeing the faces. One, after another, after another. This is X-Ray Vision, a subtle mystery from Steve Fearson. •No Peeks! •No Marks! •No Gimmicks at all! The effect is 100% impromptu. This is organic magic, something a genuine psychic might use as a demonstration. If you used this method in a casino, it would be considered cheating although you could not be caught. |

I'd be more convinced if Mr Fearson put up a demo of the effect being performed for 'real' spectators instead of just the camera.
I love the disclaimer "We reserve the right to refuse a sale if we have any reason to believe our product will be used in an illegal manner". Maybe he'll use his x-ray vision to determine the intentions of the purchaser of this product, who is located at the other end of the information superhighway! |

Hi Renzo,
If you have ordered it, can you put a review on it? Is it really as good as avertised? I Will appreciate your comments, thank you. |

Im going to throw this out there. I do not see, for me anyway how Steve can hit this 100%. Well actually in the download explaination he did miss once so apparently not 100%. I figured out how this would most likely work prior to purchase and even after purchase, I cant do it as advertised. I really do not see how it will ever be close to 100%. The principal works in other effects from ages ago and would work here and apparently does for Steve but I can not seem to see the color. I hope another member can shed some light on their experience with this.I will give it some more time today and see if it gets any better but at the moment, using a small gimmick would be foolprrof for me compared to this.Additionally , there are gimmicks out there that do the same thing. So the best thing with this would be impromptu, even a borrowed deck but I just do not see the colors.

If this is what it appears to be, I've seen it somewhere before.
His presentation may be new. But the method has been published somewhere I'm absolutely sure of it. Does he credit anyone in the video? DD |

No credit to anyone else in the video Don. Its a pretty quick video download, shows the effect and the explaination and that is it. Even during the explain segment, no tips shared and actually the color is not seen in the video either. Or perhaps I went color blind overnight & should get my eyes checked. Not thrilled at all with this regardless of it only being $10.Unfortunately not recommended.

There is an old method for detecting the color of a card using your fingertips where you actually do see the color, but it's very faint. It works like a charm though once you know what to look for.
This looks virtually identical. Ted Annemann? DD |

I never ever want something from mr. Fearson since he sold me that annoying buzzing tumbtip. I'm not suprised this effect he sells is another piece of not working, ripped off trash.

UPDATE: Steve has sent out an additional video with additional tips and handlings. He also said it was discovered a very similar idea goes back over 50 years. The additional video definitely should help but for me still, it's not smooth and by guessing I'm at 50% anyway. I'll try this again as suggested in additional tips video but at moment, I'm still in same predicament, do not see the colors. It may just take some time to get comfortable with this without studying the cards so slowly.

Although I'm somewhat disappointed, the real losers here are the the ones silently relishing in my failure.
You know who you are. DD |

Hmm...
I'm still on the fence with this one.. I was tempted to get this until I read that it may not be what it seems to be.. I mean, I'm MORE than happy to put in the work to practice, but if it's impractical, then I may have to pass... I can't find any more reviews on it (except one on the site - that's it)... |

As it's only a 50% chance of being right when guessing (as Rizzo said), only a series of correct colour-naming would be impressive. Think I'll stick to coin tossing. Much more foolproof by the sounds of it. Rich |
