I've been out of magic for about 30 years. I live in Vancouver Washington and while driving someplace one day saw a sign for a magic shop. One Sunday ove Christmas Break while my son was visiting we went to investigate.
We found a small shop crammed with all kinds of magical stuff, a proprietor welcomed us, demonstrated on request and allowed me to try a few I was interested in. In addition there was a table at the back of the shop where several older gentlemen (much like myself) were performing tricks and helping a younger person to learn. They welcomed us with open arms and invited us to return. I purchased 3 or 4 tricks that day including a new Hot Rod and Sponge Balls. I have returned with my gandson to get him started. The owner showed us several tricks that were very age appropriate (my grandson is 9) in the price range of $5.00 each I told my grandson he could have 2. The owner then showed me a small set that contained the 2 tricks my grandson wanted plus 2 others for $10.00. I happily peuchased it andy my grandson and I spend a coupl of quality hours learning and practicing before he preformed his firs mini show for Grandma. Needless to say he was a big hit. The type of service we received is unfortuneately sorely absent from so many buinesses today. I always look for service over price in any place I do business with. I will most likely not shop fo my magical needs anywhere else unless the local store doesn't carry or can't get the item I want. I'm so glad we found Dave's Killer Magic. So what do you look for?

As in any other retail establishment that we order from:
1. Selection 2. Customer Service 3. Speed of delivery Two weeks ago, I ordered a few items from a well known magic dealer based in Las Vegas. I am still waiting. Will I order again from this establishment? Probably not. |

I like to see a magic shop with a great selection. Also, it's hard to describe but some places just feel more comfortable. I like to be in a shop where they don't pressure you in to buying things and just let you hang out and ask questions if you'd like. Last, I enjoy dealers who really know their stock and can tell you what products are worth your time and money. There's a shop outside of Baltimore that became my new favorite in the one time I got to go there.
Just adding my 3 cents worth because anybody can add their 2 cents worth...

I like a magic shop that has a friendly staff that's willing to demonstrate most tricks you ask them too and one that has a good selection of materials!
