I'd like to know some of the "throw away lines" and bits of business that you use while you are twisting balloons.
If a balloon pops I'll sometimes say, "I was going to make a giraffe but it turned into a poppy dog." I've used a line I heard Cody Williams use on one of his Youtube instructional videos. He holds the balloon and strokes it and says, "Poor thing. He just wanted to be POPular." Kornpop the Klown in Chandler, Texas uses this line. As he's making a dog he says, "First I make the front legs, then I make the hind legs." As he's actually making the hind legs he says, "I call this the Hindleg Maneuver." When the legs or other part of a balloon animal need to be fixed take the balloon and say, "This little guy needs a chiropractic adjustment. There, that's better." Okay, that'll get us started. Now, what are some of the lines you use?

I like to start things off with a bang.
Surprise! It's just like fireworks, but without all those pesky colors. I thought you said EXPLODING dog... Opa! Now that I've got your attention... You should've bought the insurance policy! |

I tell people my balloons are guaranteed to pop. If they don't pop bring them back and I'll pop them for you.

Don't worry, I'm allowed to pop one a day. My doctor said so.

I know, so far it looks like a Mongolian aardvark, but just wait until I'm done.
Pop Lines: You know, he wasn't feeling to well this afternoon. Ew!! Balloon guts! Don't feel bad, they don't feel pain like we do. I refuse to work with a balloon with more than one hole. That's a great metaphor for my life. and that's why I'm not a brain surgeon. Hope that's not the start of a habit. That's the first time that ever happened again. Forgive me, I've been using these lines for many years and would gladly give credit if only I could remember. |

It seems to me we could be sharing more of these with each other.
