Does anyone have an opinion on the usefulness of this mirror?

Several years back, I bought three mirrors from Home Depot for just a few bucks and put them together with duct tape. It still works great.

Ditto. Much cheaper to make your own. I used electrical tape, but duct tape would have worked better. Even better would be book binders tape if you can find it. Good luck.

Yea, it seems we all had the same idea, very cheap and very practical. I also use video camera on a tripod so you an watch your moves an see if they look right.

The video camera is one of the best ways to go. Even a web cam will work. It keeps you from getting in the habit of gazing in the wrong direction.

I use convex mirrors in the initial stages, but I keep changing the location of the mirror in order to capture more angles than the hinged mirrors.
