Hi
My name is Tom Hawley , I have been learning magic for around three years now and I really love the close up, fast paced , cheeky kind of magic. I already can do quite a bit with spongeballs , chop cup and I have just learnt james browns hide and seek and love it! I really want to learn how to pickpocket to add into my act, does anyone know of any good dvds or books to look at it for that kind of thing? also any tips or style of tricks to learn would be much apreciated. Thanks Tom Hawley |

Welcome tomhawley,
I'd ask this question in "Table Hoppers and Party Strollers" . Not everyone reads "Our New Arrivals". I'll see you there. -Mary Mowder |

Pickpocketing is surprisingly not as hard as I thought it would be... esp. ties, belts, pens, glasses, watches.. etc.
Welcome and good luck! |

Tom ........You might consider joining or attending an IBM Ring or SAM Assembly meeting in your area. This way you would be around other magicians and perhaps they too might suggest ways to learn more or DVD's you might learn from. These meetings are usually on a monthly basis. Of course, trying to connect with other magicians here at The Magic Café can help you too as you scroll over the various topics and discover what interests you.
