Greeting from Minnesota, I've been doing magic for nearly 50 years now. I started when I was 5 years old with a small list of magic tricks that I bought for a quarter from the back of a comic book. My first magic shop was at Disneyland in Anaheim CA., where I purchase a set of small billiard balls and spent the summer learning my first routine. Did it through college, but couldn’t make a living at it and raise a family, so I became an engineer and now perform on the side. I enjoy close-up magic, working mostly with coins, sponge balls, cups and balls, knives and ropes.

Welcome to The Café from a long-time magic lover in the sunny South! What's the deal with snow in May anyway??? I now have a granddaughter that loves the tricks I do for her and it has encouraged me to get more active in performing for kids.

LOL>>>>>My friends in California have "invited" me many times to move to the Golden State.
My friends in Florida and Louisiana, ditto! I say to the western friends: "You have earth quakes, and big forest fires, and major mudslides!~" I say to the southern friends: "You have tornadoes and hurricanes!~" Here in Upper Michigan (I can drive 500 miles SOUTH, and enter Canada!) we have ten months of good skiing and two months of poor skiing! --BUT, we can shovel or plow the snow. Welcome Minnesota! Where are you in relation to the twin cities? I've toured your corner of the world many times (schools). --And, still have many friends in Paul Bunyan country. We both seem to have the same general interests as far as the props are concerned. I don't think that many of the café 'inhabitants' know how to speak Minnesotan, but they've grown accustomed to my Yooperese, so you should not have any serious problems.
