I use a Happie Amp in all my shows!
Pictured is my third one. I’ve sold the previous two to others who loved its versatility and compactness. What are you waiting for? Get yours now! Good for more than just magic shows, but any group that needs a quality PA system for small events. http://happieamp.com/happie-amp-20.html Be sure and use code Caro555 to get $5 off the price! Thanks! |

Carrie,
The $5 off is very generous of Happy Amp. However the top audio guys in the FX section classify the Happy Amp as poor. Happy Amp is a poor quality Tandy. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......um=11&25 It might be safe to assume your doing an affiliate link with $5.00 and promoting HappyAmp, not to help but to make some cash. Good luck, G

Well, I've never had a problem with it in any indoor or outdoor event I've yet done. It's perfect for small- to medium-sized audiences.

Carrie, it's not reliability that is the issue. It is the sound quality and reproduction that is poor.
Happy Amp claims to be able to cover 400 people and that is not real world. Maybe in a lab with perfect acoustics and 400 people squeezed like sardines and the Happy Amp 15 feet in the air. Plus someone else was already in the FX section offering the $5.00 off affiliate link. Nice try though. G

Gothike,
I think you're SO right on this issue. I can't understand for the life of me why a performer would spend good money on props, costumes, backdrops, marketing materials etc. and then skimp so badly on a sound system. There are so MANY affordable alternatives to the Happie amp. I learned my lesson 30 years ago when I proudly went out and bought a Radio Shack wireless lav mic. I thought it was the greatest thing I owned. My soundman however said it sounded like I was talking in a tin can. He was so right. I went to a local full time pros show in a high school auditorium that sat 450 people. He had a "Happie" style amp from Radio Shack that sounded atrocious. He thought it was great. Sounded like a tin can. I think the reason performers think they sound good is because they are behind the sound and can't appreciate what the audience is actually hearing. John |
