I have just changed the band on my gravity flipper and it is a bit tight, it doesn't drop too easily.
Does anyone have any tips on getting it to work normally? |

I usually pull gently on the flipping part, it expands the band slightly.
But be careful, have repeatedly experienced the band breaks... I normally does this before I assemble the coin completely, so you do not have to start over again

The key might be in using a bigger rubber band. You might be able to double loop a bigger band (twist it and make 2 loops)if it seems too large.

Using the correct band makes all the difference in the world. If you can get replacement bands from where you purchased your flipper, do so.
If not, visit your local orthodontist. He should be able to fix you up with some bands. They come in various sizes and various forces. Get a couple of each, but make sure you keep track of what band is what. The most common size for a half dollar is 3/16". They come in light, medium, and strong force. The medium is what I use. However, it really depends on what coin you are using. One other thing, make sure you use a latex band. |
