Ok, maybe I'm just a LITTLE sensative having come off a four day all you can eat a thon with way too many relatives, BUT...
I'm noticing that people are answering posts posed to the monthly guest of honor....as if I really cared what they thought. Perhaps I do, but there is a whole OTHER FORUM for their opinions. Thanks, I needed that. |

You may be thinking of Dionysus, the statue of whom was carted into the theater for every play. Or you may be thinking of Thespis, who broke out of the chorus one evening and spoke the dialogue instead of in song. Thus becomming an actor from which we get the word thespian.
In either case, it appears that there is shock in my pose that I would think to be of Dionysus as he gazed upon the thespian who would introduce the world to greek tragedy... whew, where did that come from? |

And I just thought you had an itchy head.
Grin - El Lamo P.S. I noticed the comments and advice given by non guests of honour as well. I once had a psychology prof who explained that he taught in a manner similar to the ways of Socrates. That he, the prof, had gained some knowledge but he was there only as our puppet. We students had to pull his strings. I liked the image. Bringing this to the guest of honour forum, there are a bunch of other people wanting us to pull their strings as well. Now, I am going to wander away with that sadistic Donny Osmond song reverberating in my inner sanctum.
Life is a system of circumstance presented coincidently in an illusory way.

Blindbo, your avatar looks like Santa Claus just remembered something. "Oh man! I forgot to feed Comet this morning!"
